It’s Fall!!!

Hey all! I hope everyone is having a fabulous month as September draws to a close. I am so EXCITED for October! Halloween, pumpkin EVERYTHING, and all the spooky inspiration a girl could ask for!

Although Phoenix is lacking on the fall colors and cool-crisp weather in October…it’s still nice not to be slow roasted on the way to the mailbox. We won’t see any traces of fall shades in the trees until mid-December.

My mom grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and sometimes misses the change of seasons. We used to have a tradition every December, we’d go get pumpkin flavored anything from Starbucks and cruise down Central Avenue towards downtown Phoenix. The road is lined with trees that create a golden hued canopy that arches over the road. The colors are vibrant, crimson red, burnt orange, and bright yellow glowing like flames in the afternoon sunlight. We need to do that again this year, it’s been too long!

Another fun fact about Phoenix…Halloween costumes can sometimes pose a challenge, as we are still enjoying warm weather while trick-or-treating. Choosing a costume that won’t have you collapsing with heat stroke is a must! But even with all the things I don’t get to experience about fall, living here in the desert…I still come alive EVERY October.

I don’t know if it is the drop in temperature, the shorter days, or the anticipation of the upcoming holiday season…but I LOVE this time of year!

This year…to add to my annual Fall-feel good momentum, I am REALLY enjoying my new Pilates and Yoga workouts that I have integrated into my daily routine. My hormone pellets are at full strength, having had them for a month now. My keto and intermittent fasting are finally working, and I have been able to lose 19 pounds since beginning my hormone cycles in May. My flexibility is getting better, I am already seeing definition and a huge reduction in inflammation. I FEEL GOOD!!!

I am optimistically looking forward to the future and all the wonderful things yet to experience in life. I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to know my body and how to take care of it and make the most out of this one life I have been blessed with. I feel whole and happy. Today is a good day.
